Does The Lateral Thigh Trainer Really Work?
An Honest Review From A Real Fitness Professional
I work as a fitness professional at one of Los Angeles’ more high-end gyms. This is my opinion on the Lateral Thigh Trainer. This page also contains little-known information on how to really get toned and lose your gut, so read on.
One of the most common questions I’m getting these days from clients, friends, and family members is, “Is the Lateral Thigh Trainer really worth it? Does it work?”
Get Ready To Be Offended…
I’m going to say something right now that may bother a lot of people, but I’ll make up for it, I promise.
Losing weight and getting a toned body is easy. Unbelievably easy. Most people over-complicate their efforts to get toned and sexy, and give up out of exhaustion and frustration.
(Like I said: I know that seems like an annoying thing for me to say, but I’m going to make it up to you by revealing the easiest, most effective system for losing weight — completely free, and in this letter. Keep reading.)
My Take on the Lateral Thigh Trainer
I’ve seen a lot of cheap work-out gadgets come and go. The Lateral Thigh Trainer is absolutely no different.
The Lateral Thigh Trainer is, simply put, a cheaply-constructed glorified step-up machine that unnecessarily works your lower body from strange angles with the false promise that it’s targeting just “your stubborn trouble areas.”
This, unfortunately, is not how your body works. It is impossible to “spot-reduce”, or get rid of fat on only one part of your body, by exercising the muscles that lay below your layer of fat.
The most dangerous part about the Lateral Thigh Trainer, though, is its strange side-to-side, up-and-down movements. Since you are locked into this range of motion, you end up only working specific major muscle groups while leaving others less-developed. This seriously increases your risk of injury, aside from it being an entirely unnecessary and unbeneficial movement.
Here’s a secret of the exercise community: working and toning your lower body — as well as your upper body — is not a matter of doing strange, unnatural movements. To get the exact lower body you’ve dreamed of, you don’t need to pretend like you’re walking up stairs for hours on end or that you’re doing strange skiing or jumping motions. It’s all unnecessary and is a myth perpetuated by companies looking to sell new, exotic, fancy-looking products.
You build the lower body of your dreams by doing traditional exercise the right way and keeping your bodyfat low. This is from a combination of diet and exercise.
I promised to tell you how easy it really is…
Here is exactly what I prescribe to all my clients. In fact, it’s exactly what I do, personally, to keep lean and toned year-round.
Like I said, it’s simple. Really, really simple. But don’t let that fool you — it’s the most effective method to lose weight, keep it off, and have a sexy body. This is the secret of Hollywood stars, bodybuilders, and female figure models.
Are you ready for it?
It’s this: walking and eating the exact right foods. That’s right — walking and a perfect diet. Like I said, it’s very simple. Let me explain.
Let’s start with the exercise portion: walking.
The human body is designed to walk, and derive the most benefit from walking. In our species’ past, we’ve never had a need for long-distance running, or unnatural movements like what the Lateral Thigh Trainer gives us. These are simply wastes of your time and energy in terms of the results you’ll get.
But we’ve always been somewhat nomadic, wandering from place to place by foot. Our body is designed to benefit most from walking.
But it’s not as easy as just hopping outside and going for a leisurely stroll. You still have to work.
Here’s what I recommend to all my clients, and what has been proven to work in 100% of cases:
- Walk in the morning at an uphill incline for at least 20 minutes, preferably on an empty stomach right after waking up. I prefer to walk outdoors, but a treadmill will work too. (Set the treadmill at around an 8% incline, if not more.)
- If you work out with weights in the gym, walk for 10 or 15 minutes afterwards at the same 8% or more incline. If you don’t work out with weights, go for a walk on a treadmill or outdoors exactly like you did in the morning.
- While walking, make sure to keep your chest high and back straight, thus stretching out your abs a little bit while you walk. This gives you more of a “full-body” workout just from walking. Again, this has to be at an uphill incline to really be effective.
- If walking on a treadmill, NEVER EVER hold onto the side rails. This takes just about all your stabilizer muscles out of play, and gives you little to no benefit.
- Really push off on each step, making sure to kind of “explode” from your thigh area — this will really work and tone your thighs and butt.
- After each walk, you should be panting lightly and sweating. If you aren’t, you need to walk faster and harder.
- Ideally, after the walk, your calves will be a little sore. This is a sign that you did it correctly. (And you’ll get some sexy, defined calves from this as well!)
That’s it. You should be walking hard, and it should be a workout. But it’ll still be less draining than a jog or run, but with far more fat-burning benefit.
Now the second half of the equation: diet.
Most people don’t know diddly-squat about dieting. I can’t tell you how many clients I’ve had tell me they “eat healthy” when, in reality, they were eating pure junk!
In fact, I would say that almost all people who think they “eat healthy” are actually slowly poisoning their bodies, and only getting fatter from it.
Let’s just take, for example, fruit juices. Even if they’re from “100% juice,” unless they were literally just squeezed minutes before, they’re digested in your body the exact same way a cup of water with sugar would be.
It is literally impossible to get the body you want without having a near perfect diet, and if you have no idea what the perfect diet is, how are you going to pull it off?
I have my own diet handbook that I hand out to my clients. It costs about $75. I’m not going to sell it here, simply because I don’t want to upset exclusive clients of mine. (They’re already going to be upset enough that I revealed the “secret” about walking to lose weight and tone the whole body.)
But there is a digital handbook available that I’ve recommended in the past will teach you exactly how to eat to lose weight. It’s called The Diet Solution Program, and it’s a bargain for what it offers. Use it in conjunction with daily walks as I described, and I absolutely guarantee that you will get the body you desire, and fast.
In fact, they’re so sure the diet handbook will work, that it comes with a 60 days, no questions asked money back guarantee. You’ll be able to get a refund from The Diet Solution Program any time within 60 days of buying it if you don’t get the results you’re expecting, without any annoying hoops to jump through.
I want to be completely honest with you about why I set up this web page. Along with my local personal training clients, I also take on long-distance clients, consulting them about weight loss over e-mail and telephone. I charge my long-distance clients a flat rate of $300 over a month for guaranteed results and I give them the exact same advice you just read on this page. Really they’re paying for the privilege of having me to talk to them and motivate them, which many people do need.
I am absolutely swamped with long-distance clients. My business is built on word-of-mouth and I am filled to capacity. However, I made this page because I want to be able to reach even more people with fat loss advice that I, myself, wish I had about seven years ago when I was struggling with the same thing. While the walking advice and my call to invest in The Diet Solution Program are exactly what I normally advise to long-distance clients (and what I know and GUARANTEE to work, no matter how simple it sounds), I do want to be completely honest and reveal that I do get paid a small commission for anyone that invests in The Diet Solution Program through this web page.
There are way too many shady marketers in the diet and exercise world who are looking to dupe you so they can make a quick buck. I don’t want to be associated with them. I stand by every bit of advice on this web page, and feel that The Diet Solution Program is the best diet program I’ve ever been able to recommend; in fact, it is exactly the protocol that I follow myself. I know that if you invest in the program, you will lose weight through it, and if for any reason you don’t like it, you will get your money back with no questions asked (and I will not make a cent). Even if my absolute honesty costs me a couple sales, I don’t care: I prefer being completely up-front about my incentives and reasons for doing what I do. While I do make a profit if you invest in the program through the links on this web page, I only recommend it because I know it works and would not recommend it otherwise.
Shoot me an e-mail at mike@areyoubigyet.com if you have any questions about what I’ve outlined on this page — I’d love to get you started in the right direction for a change. I’d love to hear from you.
To your health,
Mike Rogers, CSCS
